What is the teeth whitening process?
Teeth Whitening is a bleaching process that lightens discolorations of tooth enamel. Dental bleaching systems use an effective whitening solution retained in a custom-fitted mouthpiece that is worn over your teeth for 1 hour per day. Many people notice an immediate whitening of their teeth within a few hours of bleaching, but it usually takes between 12 - 24 hours of cumulative bleaching time to complete the whitening process (This is true for all at-home dental bleaching systems, no matter who the manufacturer). You can break your hours into just a few days (for people who are in a hurry) or a few months (for people who are not). Professional strength whitening gel formulated with 8% Hydrogen Peroxide/ 22% carbamide peroxide is the most widely used and most desirable active ingredient in effective dental bleaches.

My dentist told me these products could ruin your teeth/enamel, is this true?
BDazzled uses a non acidic (neutral pH) gel with dental hydrogen peroxide (not bleach from the cupboard) that breaks down into oxygen and water (unlike home bleach which beaks down into chlorine). The oxygen safely penetrates through the enamels pores (teeth have pores like the skin) to find the stains and oxidize them clear. Products that contain acid washes or acid in the gel can ruin your teeth and strip enamel

What are the side effects of tooth whitening?
Some patients experience temporary tooth sensitivity. This usually occurs in the first week, and cease to exist 1-3 days after interrupting the whitening treatment. Others may have nonspecific sensitivity in their teeth, gums, tongue, or throat. If any of these symptoms are more than mild, discontinue the treatment until you speak to your dentist. Temporary whitening of the gums indicates too much gel applied to the trays and is only transient. Since the whitening tray alters the biting surface of your teeth whilst wearing, your bite may be effected by long time wear of the trays. This will return to normal within a few hours of not wearing the whitening trays.

How to have a Dazzling White Smile

B'Dazzled, B'Dazzled Express and Sola Smiles whitening Systems are both take home professional tooth whitening treatments that you perform once a year to keep your teeth sparkling and white.

To achieve a Dazzling White Smile you need to form your customizable mouthguards. These look similar to what you can purchase from a chemist however the patented technology used to make them means they provide you with a completely customised impression of your teeth, exactly like what you would get from your dentist.

You only need to make the whitening guards once (which takes less than a minute) and they will last you for many years.

To whiten, you then place the professional strength gel towards the front of the upper and lower mouthguard and depending on whether you purchase the 2 week system or the Xpress will depend on how long you wear your guards for.

Each Kit containes 3 syringes of gel. See below to see which kit suits you best. Both kits contain a little more gel than is required for the treatment so you have extra for "top ups" OR maintanence later on.
